How to Heal Fibromyalgia Naturally

1. Eat a well-balanced diet rich in antioxidants and immune-strengthening nutrients and learn about the connection between diet and fibromyalgia. While some foods help promote a healthy immune system and support healthy body functioning, certain foods are believed to trigger fibromyalgia symptoms in some patients. Keep a food diary to track what you're eating and the onset, severity, and duration of symptoms in order to identify any possible connections.
2. Exercise regularly to help ease muscle pain and stiffness, maintain range of motion in joints, increase energy, reduce stress, and help ease depression. Gentle stretching and low-impact aerobic exercises, such as walking and swimming, are often recommended.
3. Experiment with different stress management and/or relaxation techniques to find the ones that work best for you. Fibromyalgia can be physically and emotionally exhausting, and stress is believed to be an important trigger for fibromyalgia flare-ups.
4. Apply capsaicin, a natural pain reliever derived from pepper plants. As the active ingredient in several different over-the-counter pain relief sprays and lotions, capsaicin promotes the release of a body chemical called substance P, which when depleted seems to decrease the sensation of pain.
